What age groups can join RUMAH Skate Club?
RUMAH Skate Club is open to skaters aged 3 and above.
Skaters aged 3 - 5 will be coached on a one-on-one basis and graduate to RUMAH Skate Club when they turn 6.
In select cases, based on coach assessment, these participants may progress to RUMAH Skate Club before they turn 6.

Do skaters need prior skating experience?
No prior experience is needed! We offer sessions for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skaters who are looking to practice or meet fellow skate-boarders.
Are there different levels of instruction?
Yes, we have beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
How many skaters will there be in a session?
Aged 3 - 5: One-on-one session.
Aged 6 and above: Maximum of 6 slots per session.
Aged 6 and above: Maximum of 6 slots per session.

What are the core objectives of RUMAH Skate Club?

What language are the sessions conducted in?
Sessions are conducted in English, Chinese and French, depending on the language ability of the kid.
What activities will be conducted at RUMAH Skate Club?
We are focused on skate classes and also on activities related to skate-boarding culture, community and sportsmanship. Members can expect workshops such as skateboard art customization, skate documentary screenings and more!
What types of skating are taught?
We currently teach skate-boarding.
What safety measures are in place?
First-aid assistance is available on-site. Insurance for every member is provided with a minimum sign-up of 10 credits and above.
WHERE
Where are sessions held?
Regular sessions are held at RUMAH. We also do off-site visits to skating facilities.
Will food and drinks be provided?
Skaters are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and may refill when sessions are held at RUMAH. Before and after the session, food and drinks are available for separate purchase from RUMAH if needed.
Can parents watch the sessions?
Parents may watch the session from the designated viewing area outside the instruction area, but should not enter or interfere with the session. To minimize distractions and encourage skaters to focus and take instruction well from the coach, we kindly ask that parents refrain from coaching, giving instruction, or interacting with skaters during the sessions.

How often are the sessions held?
RUMAH Skate Club sessions (age 6 and above) are held every Saturday unless otherwise stated. One-on-one sessions (ages 3 - 5) are also held on Saturdays.
What is the duration of each session?
RUMAH Skate Club sessions (age 6 and above): 60 minutes
One-on-one session (ages 3 - 5): 30 minutes

What equipment is included in the fees?
We provide all necessary equipment including skate-boards, helmets, elbow guards and knee guards. Skaters just need to show up!
Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes, you can bring your own equipment as well. Please ensure equipment is in functional state before use during our sessions. We do not assume any responsibility for damage done to personal equipment during our sessions.
What should skaters wear to sessions?
Skaters should dress appropriately based on the weather. They should also wear covered sneakers or sport shoes that are fitting. No dresses or skirts.

What are the fees to join RUMAH Skate Club (aged 5 and above)?
There is a one-time joining fee of $1,000 per new skater which includes an orientation bundle.
We offer 3 pricing packages based on credits purchased:
1 credit: $1500
4 credits: $5400 (original 6396, savings of $996!)
10 credits: $11250 (original 15990, savings of $4740!)
We also offer sibling discounts and have a referral scheme!
What are the fees for one-on-one sessions (aged 3 - 5)?

How does the credit purchase system work?
Each activity is assigned a credit value (usually 1 credit per session). Depending on the activities you sign up for, credits will be deducted from your purchased package.
What is included in the $1,000 joining fee?
The one-time $1,000 joining fee includes:
- Free use of skateboard and protective gear during sessions with RUMAH Skate Club
- 10% off Kids’ Party Packages or Private Event Packages at RUMAH (valid RUMAH Skate Club membership required at the time of event booking)
- Orientation bundle consisting of a folder with RUMAH Skate Club rules
Do credits expire?
There is a 1-year validity from the date of purchase.
How do I book sessions after I have purchased credits?
When you buy credits, you will be asked which session category you are purchasing for. After the purchase request has been validated, we will auto-book you for the next available set of sessions based on the number of credits purchased. Eg. you bought 10 credits for the Saturday After Lunch sesh - we will auto-book you for the next 10 available sessions of the Saturday After Lunch sesh.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes, we provide a 50% discount on the 2nd sibling’s joining fee! Families with multiple children can also enjoy this discount on their 3rd, 4th child etc.
Are credits transferrable?
Credits are only transferrable within the same family (eg. from one sibling to another). Once transferred, they cannot be transferred back.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes, both referrer and referee will each receive 1 free credit (one-time only) when the referee signs up for a minimum of 10 credits! The free credit will be credited to each party’s account when the referee has fully paid up for the 10 credits. The referral code is the referrer's RUMAH Skate Club membership card number and can be entered on the BUY CREDITS page.
Is there a trial class available?
Yes, we offer a one-time complimentary trial session for interested participants. Register online at https://rumahtaipei.com/skateclub/trial/new.
What if I am travelling for an extended period?
In the case of extended holiday travel, parents must inform us at least 2 weeks in advance and manually cancel the affected auto-booked sessions in MY ACCOUNT at least 2 days ahead of the session date.
For one-on-one sessions only - Sessions may be paused for no longer than 2 consecutive months.

What happens during bad weather conditions?
In the event of bad weather conditions, we endeavor to have the skate session at a covered site instead, or have a group activity conducted indoors at RUMAH instead. Please refer to our UPCOMING SESSIONS schedule for regular updates.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
We do not offer any cancellations or refunds for purchased credits.
For sessions that need to be missed due to other engagements or travel, please manually cancel the affected auto-booked sessions in MY ACCOUNT at least 2 days ahead of the session date. The cancelled credit(s) will then be available in MY ACCOUNT for you to manually book another session of your choice.

Yes! All RUMAH Skate Club members get 10% off Kids’ Party Packages or Private Event Packages at RUMAH.

Skaters aged 17 and below: A parent/guardian is required to create an account under which their skater profile will be managed.
Only siblings can be registered under the same parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian’s details will be used for communication and insurance application.
Insurance is provided and compulsory for a minimum of 10 credits.
